The pill's manufacturer, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, said in a statement that the firm was committed to offering women more protection at a lower cost. Some women said they didn't understand why the pill's new price was higher than the previous one, but one pill is priced at $45 for a 12-hour pack and 90-day supply.
