He says that many clinicians don't realise using it in the form of a tablet rather than capsules may increase the risk it could be swallowed whole or that it can take up to 24 hours work in the body.
He has also heard of a number children who have swallowed tablets and had seizures or suffered brain damage.
And, he says, tramadol can have a similar effect to heroin.
